Based on standardization of measurement defined by leading anthropologists
precision instruments for anthropology, archaeology, paleontology, zoology, somatology and osteology.
Anthropometer
The Anthropometer is an extremely versatile instrument suitable for measuring nearly any linear dimension of the human body
Description
Base Plate
Mostly used for measuring with Anthropometer held in perpendicular position
Then you’ve to use the side, where the branches are graduated up to 2100 mm.
Recurved Measuring Branches
Recurved measuring branches for anthropometer.
They can be provided in addition to the straight measuring branches generally used (e.g. for measuring sagittal breast diameter)
Measuring range [mm]: 150 mm to 270 mm
Auricular height needle
The auricular height needle achieves a very high accuracy.
It consists of two steel needles affixed at right angles and consolidated by a small cursor.
When the needle is in the midsagittal plane of the body, the position of the instrument is guaranteed.
Goniometer
The goniometer is essential for measuring angles, especially those of the face. It can be attached to the moving branches of the anthropometer or sliding caliper (Martin type), or spreading calipers with rounded or pointed ends with a range from 0 to 300 mm or 600 mm , using two screws setting located in the posterior side. Reading is done using a nickel-plated needle, weighted so that the tip is always in position.
